Qualifications

• Turf management qualification or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of turf care, irrigation systems and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with turfgrass varieties, soil types and fertilization practices.
• Leadership and team management skills with ability to inspire staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance and agronomic programs to promote high-quality playing conditions and course appearance.
• Monitor mowing, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control to maintain optimal conditions.
• Supervise and lead groundskeeping staff to complete tasks efficiently and to standard.
• Manage expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining course quality.
• Collaborate with department heads on maintenance projects and improvements.
• Implement sustainability and environmental practices for the course.
• Conduct regular course inspections and address turf, irrigation or equipment issues.
• Maintain inventories and coordinate repairs or replacements of maintenance assets.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in turf management.
• Participate in hiring, training and performance evaluations for staff.
