Job summary

Castlemaine Golf Club Inc. invites applications for a Golf Course Superintendent to replace our retiring long-standing Super.

Reporting to the Course Coordinator, the Superintendent will plan, coordinate and supervise all aspects of golf course maintenance and presentation. The successful applicant will undertake daily work programs, supervise construction and improvement projects, manage irrigation and turf health, and ensure the course is presented to the highest possible standard for members

Qualifications

Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or 10+ years in the sports turf industry.
Current Chemical Accreditation.
Current Chainsaw operator certificate.
Current Driver's Licence.
Demonstrated experience leading or supervising staff and volunteers.
Sound knowledge of irrigation systems, troubleshooting and repairs.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement daily, weekly and seasonal maintenance programs.
Supervise and coordinate daily work schedules and volunteer activities to maximise efficiency.
Maintain exceptional playing surfaces including greens, tees, fairways and surrounds.
Monitor turf health and manage disease, pest and weed programs.
Plan and implement chemical and fertilizer application programs.
Support continual improvement of the golf course through renovation and construction projects.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.
Work with the Greens Committee to develop and manage plans and budgets.
