Job summary

Mornington Peninsula Shire is seeking a motivated golf course maintenance worker for the Mount Martha Public Golf Course on a temporary part-time basis. The role focuses on mowing, turf maintenance, bunker preparation and daily course upkeep to deliver high‑quality playing conditions.

Reporting to the MMPGC Superintendent, you will operate and maintain equipment safely, contribute to landscaping and facilities, and work within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in turf, grounds or golf course maintenance.
• Skilled in safe operation of plant and equipment (mowers, tractors).
• Knowledge of turf management principles including irrigation and pests.
• Dependable, proactive work ethic and ability to work outdoors.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain golf course presentation and playability.
• Operate plant, machinery and irrigation systems safely.
• Support course infrastructure, landscaping and facilities upkeep.
• Contribute to a safe, high‑performing team and daily maintenance programs.
