Job summary

Megaport, a global leader in Network as a Service, is seeking a Go backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain internal tooling and APIs within the Platform Engineering team. You will build high-performance Go services and CLI tools, improving the efficiency of engineering across multiple time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Proven Go backend experience with REST APIs.
• Experience building services on Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of scalable web services and distributed systems.
• Experience with API design, authentication, and authorization.

Responsibilities

• Develop Internal Developer Tooling: Go-based APIs, microservices, and CLI tools to improve engineering productivity.
• Engineer Scalable Automation: orchestrate workflows between systems of record, SaaS platforms, and internal infra.
• Implement Governance-as-Code: automated repository and service governance aligned with standards.
• Build Self-Service Infrastructure: create interfaces for teams to request/manage infra securely.
• Operate and Optimize: maintain Go backends on Kubernetes/EKS with performance profiling.
