Job summary
Phytex Australia is seeking a QC Manager to lead its Analytical and Preparative Laboratory & Stability Testing programs in NSW. You will oversee ~5 staff, plan testing priorities, and ensure GMP-compliant data integrity and timely batch delivery.
The role requires hands-on analytical experience with HPLC and GC, strong documentation practices, and the ability to coordinate multiple API production campaigns daily in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline and GMP awareness.
- Experience leading a laboratory team in a GMP environment.
- Strong hands-on analytical capability with lab instrumentation knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of ~5 laboratory personnel and coordinate daily activities.
- Allocate activities based on production priorities and equipment availability.
- Set daily/weekly laboratory priorities and monitor workload.
- Provide technical guidance, training and mentoring to staff.
- Ensure timely analytical support for 2–3 API production campaigns daily.
- Coordinate testing with Production, QA, QC and R&D.
- Maintain equipment booking/scheduling for GMP productions and R&D.
- Oversee routine analytical testing for API manufacturing and GMP compliance.
