Job summary

Kinetic in Melbourne, Australia, seeks a GM – Finance Systems & Process to take ownership of Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM governance, design, and continuous improvement across Australia and New Zealand. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with implementation partner before go-live on configuration, UAT, readiness and training.
• Own finance process architecture and design standards across Finance.

• Govern system changes from assessment to testing and release; manage quarterly Oracle updates.
• Govern finance integrations across IT systems and resolve issues.
• Manage chart of accounts and hierarchy admin.
• Prioritise improvements with Finance Ops and FP&A; deliver automation/AI solutions.

GM - Finance Systems & Process

• Take ownership of a major Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM environment, currently being implemented across the organisation.
• Set finance process standards, oversee system changes and drive continuous improvement across Kinetic's Australian and New Zealand operations.
• Lead the transition to in-house platform ownership, building internal capability across systems, processes and automation.

About the Role

We’re looking for a GM – Finance Systems and Process to take ownership of finance systems governance, process design and continuous improvement across Kinetic’s Australian and New Zealand operations.

Reporting to the Finance & Procurement Transformation Lead, you’ll work across Finance, Technology and external delivery partners to ensure our Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM platforms meet business needs, are supported in-house and are aligned with finance processes and controls.

You’ll lead the transition from implementation partner support to in-house ownership, establishing the standards, governance and support arrangements needed to manage system changes, quarterly releases and ongoing optimisation. You’ll also drive improvements across finance processes, integrations, user capability and automation, including practical AI solutions that deliver measurable business value.

This is an opportunity to establish and lead Kinetic’s finance systems function, shaping how our platforms and processes evolve to support the business ongoing.

What You Will Do

• Work with our implementation partner ahead of the Oracle ERP and EPM go-live to understand systems configuration and support UAT, readiness and training.
• Own finance process architecture and design standards, assessing proposed changes and maintaining consistent processes and controls across Finance.
• Oversee Oracle configuration, including finance workflows and reports, security roles, segregation of duties, access approvals and periodic access reviews.
• Govern system changes from impact assessment and approval through to testing and release, including quarterly Oracle updates and decisions on adopting new features.
• Govern finance integrations with IT across connected systems, including asset management, HCM, payroll, banking and ticketing, and resolve finance-related integration issues.
• Manage chart of accounts and hierarchy administration, including master data changes.
• Prioritise finance system improvements with Finance Operations and FP&A, delivering practical automation and AI solutions to support business processes.
• Establish in-house platform support, maintain configuration documentation and manage external support providers.
• Build user capability through training, system controls and Oracle Guided Learning (OGL).
• Lead and develop the finance systems team, building capability across ERP, EPM and finance processes.

What You Will Need

• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience with Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM at design and configuration level, or an equivalent tier-one SaaS ERP, including system security, segregation of duties, integrations and release management.
• Strong expertise in end-to-end finance process architecture, internal controls, system governance and change management.
• Demonstrable experience taking ownership of finance systems post-implementation, including platform optimisation, release governance and the transition from implementation partner to in-house support, with experience establishing a finance systems function highly regarded.
• Strong accounting knowledge, with the ability and experience to exercise independent judgement, challenge senior stakeholders and uphold finance process and system standards.
• CA, CPA or equivalent professional accreditation is highly regarded.
• Experience implementing finance automation or AI solutions is desirable.
