Job summary

A leading global financial institution in Sydney is seeking a Tax & Accounting Manager to lead its tax function locally. This senior, hands-on role covers compliance, reporting, advisory and team leadership across a full banking tax remit.

You will own the end-to-end tax function from BAS/IAS/PAYG through to income tax returns, transfer pricing, FBT, FATCA/CRS and CbC reporting, review provisions, and act as the main contact for the ATO, external auditors and Head Office.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' tax and audit experience at a senior level.
• Deep knowledge of Australian tax law and accounting standards.
• Strong banking products knowledge and tax/accounting treatment.
• Proven ability to guide stakeholders and manage external advisors.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end tax function including BAS/IAS/PAYG, income tax, transfer pricing, FBT, FATCA/CRS and CbC reporting.
• Review tax provisions and deferred tax positions; manage inter-office reconciliations.
• Serve as the key contact for the ATO, external auditors and Head Office.
• Mentor and develop a small team while driving process improvements.
