Job summary

The University of Sydney in Australia is seeking an International Development and Sponsorships Manager within Sydney Future Students to lead growth of the international sponsorship portfolio and sponsored enrolments. You will lead a small team, build partnerships with government agencies, embassies, scholarship bodies and sponsors to advance the university’s internationalisation strategy.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in international education, partnerships, business development or student recruitment.
• Proven success building strategic relationships with government agencies, sponsors or scholarship providers.
• Strong business development experience with ability to identify opportunities and drive growth.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders across diverse cultural environments with strong communication/negotiation skills.
• Understanding of the international higher education sector and recruitment/sponsorship factors.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to grow sponsored student enrolments and expand the sponsorship portfolio.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with sponsors, government agencies, embassies and scholarship bodies.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team ensuring exceptional service delivery.
• Act as the primary liaison with sponsors and government stakeholders on sponsorship matters.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and deliver business development initiatives for recruitment growth.
• Represent the University locally and internationally through stakeholder engagement activities and partnerships.
