Zusammenfassung

Metso is seeking a Purchasing Officer to support the Australian Pumps business by managing local and international purchasing of pump components and indirect materials.

You will raise RFQs, evaluate quotations, and create purchase orders in SAP. You'll work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely supply, optimise cost and lead times, and contribute to procurement process improvements. 2+ years’ experience and SAP proficiency preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years’ experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain role.
• Experience working with suppliers and managing quotations, pricing and delivery timeframes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience using SAP or another ERP/procurement system.
• The ability to understand technical information and, ideally, read basic technical drawings.
• An understanding of mechanical or industrial products and equipment is desirable.
• Experience in mining, manufacturing, industrial or engineering environments is highly regarded.

Aufgaben

• Raise and manage requests for quotation (RFQs) through Jaggaer.
• Follow up with suppliers on quotations, pricing and delivery timeframes.
• Analyse and evaluate supplier quotations to support purchasing decisions.
• Create and manage purchase orders through SAP.
• Negotiate pricing, quantities and delivery times with suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Support inventory purchasing for Pump Products across Distribution Centres and Service Centres.
• Work closely with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements and ensure timely supply.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and overall efficiency.
