Job summary

Q-CTRL is seeking a Staff Project Manager to own end-to-end external engagements, including bids, contracts, and milestones, as part of the PMO. This role anchors delivery across hardware and software initiatives in a fast-growing quantum company.

You will lead cross-functional teams, design scalable delivery frameworks, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance across global contracts. Remote-friendly with global hubs; requires 8+ years in complex technical programs and a STEM degree.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of direct project/program management experience for complex technical engineering, deep-tech, or scientific research projects.
• Proven track record leading responses to external funding opportunities (government grants, solicitations, tenders).
• Strong ability to translate complex concepts into clear, persuasive narratives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end proposals for complex solicitations and customer contracts.
• Guide physical builds, lab integration, and contractual milestones from award to delivery.
• Steer project budgets, burn rates, schedules, and risk across active R&D contracts.
• Design and embed scalable delivery frameworks, templates, and standards across global hubs.
• Manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships across research, engineering, finance, and leadership.
