Job summary

The University of Sydney invites applications for the International Development and Sponsorships Manager, a senior role in Sydney Future Students’ International team. You will lead the growth of the University's international sponsorship portfolio and supervise a small team to strengthen partnerships with sponsors, government bodies and scholarship agencies.

In this role you will engage with embassies, consulates and DFAT to identify opportunities, drive sponsored student enrolments and advance

Qualifications

Leadership experience managing high-performing teams in international education.
Proven ability to build and manage strategic relationships with government agencies and sponsors.
Strong business development skills to identify opportunities and drive growth.
Excellent communication, negotiation and cross-cultural stakeholder management.
Deep understanding of international higher education and student recruitment.
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience; ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to grow sponsored student enrolments.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with sponsors, embassies and government stakeholders.
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team delivering service excellence.
Act as primary liaison with sponsors and government stakeholders on strategic matters.
Identify emerging opportunities and provide strategic advice to support recruitment growth.
Represent the University locally and internationally through events and partnerships.
