JMES is partnering with a high-growth Australian biotechnology business seeking a CFO to drive strategic finance, governance and scalable systems as the company expands internationally.

Reporting to the CEO and working with founders and the Board, the CFO will shape capital allocation, pursue M&A opportunities, manage investor relations, and build a robust finance function to support ongoing growth across diverse markets.

Formación

• Experience as CFO or senior financial leader in high-growth tech/biotech.

We are partnering with an innovative Australian biotechnology business backed by sophisticated investors. Following significant investment in product development and production infrastructure, the business has secured a landmark commercial agreement, recently expanding its contracted customer base more than fourfold. With a growing recurring revenue base and significant expansion plans across Australia, Europe, the Americas and Africa, the business is entering an exciting phase of commercial growth.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the founders and Board, the CFO will be a key commercial and strategic partner, helping shape the next phase of the company's growth, with responsibility for:

• Partnering with the CEO and Board on strategic planning, commercial decisions and capital allocation
• Supporting international expansion, including commercial partnerships, market entry and distribution arrangements
• Leading financial evaluation and execution of M&A opportunities
• Providing commercial insight into pricing, margins, profitability and investment decisions
• Managing financial reporting, governance, capital markets and investor relationships
• Developing scalable financial systems, processes and controls to support growth
• Leading and developing the finance function as the business expands

You will be a hands-on CFO with strong capability across financial reporting, governance, systems and building scalable finance functions. Commercially astute, you will bring experience supporting business growth, ideally across international markets, with exposure to M&A, capital raising or corporate development advantageous. An entrepreneurial mindset, sound judgement and the ability to partner confidently with founders, investors and the Board are essential.
