Job summary

Flash Freight Logistics Pty Ltd seeks an experienced Supply Chain and Distribution Manager to plan, organise and control the company’s supply, storage and distribution operations in Mona Vale, NSW. You will oversee air, sea, road freight, warehousing and customs processes, working with clients, carriers and international agents to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, transport, business management or related field, or five years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated management experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain or distribution operations.
• Strong knowledge of air freight, sea freight, road transport, warehousing and import/export processes.
• Experience managing carriers, suppliers, international logistics agents.
• Knowledge of freight documentation, customs processes and compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, planning and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using freight management, cargo tracking or logistics reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor supply, storage and distribution strategies and operational plans.
• Plan and coordinate the movement, storage and distribution of goods via air, sea and road freight services.
• Monitor operations to meet client cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing and service with shipping lines, airlines, transport providers and warehouses.
• Monitor cargo tracking, storage and reporting for shipment visibility.
• Oversee import, export, customs and freight documentation.
• Coordinate outward goods and forwarding requirements with clients and service providers.
• Record and report supply, storage and distribution transactions.
• Prepare and monitor operational budgets and freight charges.
• Manage shipment delays, damaged cargo and escalations.
• Ensure compliance with customs, shipping, WHS and related requirements.
• Direct and supervise staff and allocate duties.
• Review performance and identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
