Job summary

A large, listed multinational headquartered in Sydney is seeking a Financial Controller to own the record to report (R2R) process globally, spanning numerous countries, currencies and time zones. You will drive standardisation across in-country teams and an offshore shared services centre, ensuring robust controls and end-to-end coverage.

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end R2R experience across transactions to reporting.
• Experience with offshore shared services and driving standardisation.
• Exposure to multi-currency environments and international entities.
• Auditing background and controllership in a large listed business.

Responsibilities

• Refresh global R2R standards: month end close, journals, reconciliations.
• Set and embed global standards across regions; ensure adherence.
• Oversee balance sheet and high-risk area reviews; clear aged items.
• Own R2R control framework including segregation of duties.
• Address internal audit findings related to R2R with root-cause analysis.
• Drive automation in journals and intercompany; collaborate with transformation lead.
• One direct report; influence a network of finance teams across functions.
• Support senior finance leadership; operate in a live, evolving environment.
• Leverage offshore SSC to maximise performance and outputs.
• Be comfortable with ambiguity; focus on what matters and deliver.
