Job summary

Monash University in Melbourne seeks an Executive Director, Financial Control and Operations to lead financial control, reporting, tax, and finance systems across the Monash Group. You will guide a ~90-strong team through complex multi-jurisdictional operations while delivering robust governance and strategic transformation.

Reporting to CFO, you will drive major ERP-enabled transformation, enhance automation, and strengthen international tax and governance to underpin long-term sustainability

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified; senior finance executive with broad finance leadership experience.
• Extensive experience leading finance functions in large, multi-jurisdictional organisations.
• Strong track record in finance operations, transformation and organisational change.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial control, reporting, tax, finance systems and operations across the Monash Group.
• Lead ERP-enabled transformation and automation initiatives; strengthen governance and controls.
• Manage a team of ~90 through four direct reports and provide trusted executive-level advice.
• Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to support long-term sustainability and global ambitions.
