Job summary

Control Risks embeds an Executive Protection Officer (EPO) to support senior executives, operating within client environments in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. The role focuses on developing protection plans, travel risk assessments, and discreet protective support across travel, meetings, and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Executive protection certification or other relevant security qualification is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in executive protection, protective intelligence, diplomatic protection, law enforcement, military, intelligence or corporate security environments.
• Strong threat assessment, situational awareness and risk management capabilities, with sound judgement under pressure.
• Experience planning and supporting domestic and international executive travel, including security advances, route planning and local provider coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively, discreetly and independently in dynamic environments and during irregular hours.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
• A valid driving licence and the ability to travel regularly at short notice, subject to the client scope and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement executive protection plans and risk mitigations.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel security, route planning and venues.
• Escort executives and provide discreet protection during travel and events.
• Maintain situational awareness of security developments affecting personnel.
• Support protective intelligence activities, including threat profiling.
• Gather and analyse information to identify emerging threats.
• Liaise with client stakeholders, external vendors and authorities to coordinate protective measures.
• Assist in incident and crisis response including evacuation planning.
