Job summary

Farmbot in Australia seeks an experienced Procurement Manager to optimise sourcing, costs, and supplier management for manufacturing and business operations. You will lead procurement planning, negotiations, and international freight handling with a focus on electronics/OEM and Asia imports.

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems is essential. Strong communication and data-entry skills are required to manage domestic and overseas supplier relationships and drive cost savings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in electronics, OEM or similar environment.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel/Google Sheets and ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent communication with overseas suppliers and knowledge of international freight.
• Detail oriented, analytical, and capable of prioritizing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts with Production and Finance teams.
• Drive negotiations of pricing and payment terms with suppliers.
• Purchase raw materials, raise purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries.
• Manage international import/export for the contract manufacturer in Texas.
• Oversee timely delivery and scheduling of components for production.
• Handle administrative and operational purchasing for Australian and US companies.
• Act as main contact with suppliers and respond to inquiries from domestic and international partners.
• Identify cost savings and process improvements and implement them.
• Contribute to business planning and reporting activities.
• Drive the RMA process for defective or out-of-spec material.
