Job summary

Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney is seeking a Communications Lead for the International Eucharistic Congress 2028 to shape the public voice across Australia and internationally. You will oversee the communications plan, editorial program across social, digital, publications and stakeholder updates, ensuring clarity, warmth and consistency.

You will work with the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager and Campaign Marketing Manager to align messages with Eucharist28 brand and Catholic

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in communications, public relations, stakeholder engagement or corporate affairs, preferably within a complex organisation.
• Proven experience developing and delivering communication plans across multiple channels and stakeholder groups.
• Exceptional writing, editing and message development skills, with the ability to tailor communications for diverse audiences and platforms.
• Experience managing communication projects and coordinating multiple priorities within tight timeframes.
• Demonstrated ability to work within complex stakeholder environments and manage sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.
• Experience developing communication resources, executive correspondence, presentations and briefing materials.

Responsibilities

• Own the communications plan and editorial program across social media, digital channels, publications and stakeholder updates.
• Develop content for Congress Week and provide communications advice on sensitive matters.
• Build advocacy through trusted relationships with Catholic, community and media networks.
• Work in partnership with Campaign Marketing Manager and other teams to ensure alignment with Eucharist28 brand and messaging priorities.
