Job summary

HelloFresh in Sydney, Australia (Chippendale) or Penrose, Auckland, New Zealand, seeks an International Category Manager to shape and execute the protein category strategy. You will lead supplier negotiations, set strategic direction, and drive cost efficiency and supply chain resilience across ANZ.

You will own multi-year sourcing roadmaps, lead market analyses, and act as the senior escalation point for category issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in strategic procurement, supply chain or category management.
• Experience leading complex supplier negotiations.
• Proven track record developing category strategies.
• Strong analytical capability with large data sets.
• Exceptional communication to influence senior leadership.
• Food industry knowledge desirable.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; proactive and solutions-oriented.
• Strategic thinker, able to operate at high level and detail.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the category strategy and multi-year sourcing roadmaps.
• Lead market analysis and category reviews to identify risks, opportunities.
• Escalation point for category issues with autonomous decision-making.
• Lead high-value supplier negotiations for long-term value.
• Develop and manage supplier network across New Zealand.
• Maintain senior-level supplier relationships and strategic partnerships.
• Oversee cost reporting, tendering, invoice validation and compliance.
• Collaborate with diverse senior stakeholders across the business.
