Job summary
Recruit Shop Pty Ltd in Ingleside is seeking a licensed tradesperson to take on a hands-on supervisory role, leading two licensed tradesmen and an apprentice while staying hands-on with fabrication and installation on Sydney Metro projects.
You will read and interpret plans, ensure accurate measurements, coordinate materials, and uphold safety and workmanship standards across sites, with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- Licensed tradesperson with supervisory experience.
- Hands-on leader capable of guiding two tradesmen and an apprentice.
- Strong ability to read plans, sketches and shop drawings.
- Attention to safety, quality, and on-site problem solving.
- Reliable; able to work under pressure.
Responsibilities

- Aluminium fabrication and installation across glass and aluminium work
- Reading and interpreting plans, sketches and shop drawings

- Organising materials and coordinating current and upcoming jobs
- Maintaining safety, quality and workmanship standards
- Communicating with clients, builders and the team
- Reporting progress and raising issues early

We're looking for a licensed tradesperson ready to take on a supervisory role, leading two licensed tradesmen and an apprentice while staying hands-on on the tools.

With over 20 years in the trade, our client is a glass and aluminium fit-out specialist based in Ingleside, servicing Sydney Metro. The scope covers frameless glass doors, balustrades and mirrors, automatic doors, shopfronts, façade repairs, aluminium framing, and every other aspect of glass and aluminium installation the fit-out industry calls for.

You'll lead our on-site fabrication and installation team, making sure projects are delivered safely, accurately and to a high standard across Sydney Metro.
Your responsibilities:
- Leading, coaching and mentoring two licensed tradesmen and an apprentice
- Day-to-day site supervision across Sydney Metro projects
- Aluminium fabrication and installation across the full range of glass and aluminium work
- Reading and interpreting plans, sketches and shop drawings
- Accurate on-site measurement and installation
- Organising materials and coordinating current and upcoming jobs
- Maintaining safety, quality and workmanship standards
- Communicating with clients, builders and the team
- Reporting progress and raising issues early
- Solid, hands-on knowledge of installing and repairing all aspects of glass and aluminium
- Demonstrated leading hand or supervisory experience
- Confident reading and interpreting plans, sketches and shop drawings
- Able to lead a team and work as part of one
- Reliable, hard-working and calm under pressure
- A strong eye for detail and design
- $40–$50 Per Hour Based on Experience, + Super + OT + Vehicle + Annual Bonus
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, With Most Work On-site Across Sydney Metro
