Carpenters & Installers Wanted - Specialise in Premium Window & Door Installation

Architectural Aluminium & Glass Constructions | Hornsby NSW

Are you a carpenter, glazier or carpentry apprentice looking to step into a more specialised and rewarding trade?

Architectural Aluminium & Glass Constructions is one of Sydney’s leading installers of high-end aluminium windows, doors and skylights for luxury residential projects. With more than 35 years’ experience in the industry, we collaborate with some of Sydney’s top builders and architects on unique, architecturally designed homes.

We are now looking for an individual who wants to build a long-term career in premium window and door installation.

Why Carpenters Excel in This Role

Your carpentry background gives you the perfect foundation for this trade:

• You understand structure, levels and set-outs
• You can read plans and measure accurately
• You’re practical, hands-on and mechanically minded
• You take pride in precision and high-quality workmanship

If you want a role that is more specialised than general carpentry, offers steady long-term demand, and exposes you to high-end luxury projects - this is it.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will receive full training, but typical tasks include:

• Installing aluminium window and door frames, door panels and sashes
• Setting out openings and preparing sites for installation
• Working on new builds, renovations and architectural projects
• Lifting and handling large glass panels using suction equipment
• Interpreting architectural/structural drawings
• Wet and dry glazing of aluminium windows, doors and skylights
• Working alongside builders, project managers and architects

Ideal Background

• A carpenter looking for a specialised trade path
• A carpentry apprentice wanting a more secure, long-term career direction
• A tradesperson with strong practical/mechanical skills
• Someone who enjoys problem-solving and working on high-end custom builds

What We’re Looking For

• Carpentry skills or experience (TAFE or on-site)
• Good attention to detail
• Reliability and willingness to learn
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to lift 20kg+
• (Experience with aluminium systems like ALSPEC, Capral or G James is a bonus but not essential — training provided.)

What You’ll Get

• Job security with an established family-owned business
• The chance to specialise in a high-demand trade
• Exposure to luxury residential projects across Sydney
• Supportive training from experienced installers
• Clear progression into senior installer, site team leader or specialist roles
