Job summary

Deluxe Windows is a Melbourne-based glazing manufacturer and installer hiring a full-time Glazier. You will interpret drawings, measure sites, and install double- and triple-glazed units, ensuring quality and precise fitting.

Applicants should have a glazing qualification or related trade and at least one year post-qualification experience, or three years of experience in lieu of formal qualifications. A valid manual driver’s licence is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, plans and specs to determine glass types, dimensions and installation requirements.

• Inspect glass, frames and assemblies for defects and perform corrective work.

Job Description

Deluxe Windows Pty Ltd Key duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to: Interpreting technical drawings, plans, production specifications and work instructions to determine glass types, dimensions and installation requirements.

Measuring, marking and preparing glass and window components in accordance with project specifications and manufacturing requirements.

Cutting, fitting and installing double- and triple-glazed glass units into window and door frames, ensuring accurate alignment, secure fitting, sealing and finishing.

Inspecting glass, frames and completed assemblies for defects, damage or other quality issues and carrying out corrective work where required.

Measuring and assessing window and door openings at residential and commercial sites prior to installation.

Conducting pre-installation checks to confirm dimensions, site conditions and installation requirements.

Assembling and fabricating uPVC window and door systems, including preparing, welding and finishing profiles and supporting components.

About you

To be successful in this position, you will have: A relevant qualification in glazing or a related trade, together with at least one year of relevant full-time post-qualification experience , or at least three years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications .

A current manual driver's licence.

The ability to accurately read and work from technical drawings, plans, specifications and measurements.

Experience undertaking site measurements, assessments and pre-installation checks.

Good knowledge of glass handling, fitting, sealing and installation techniques.

Experience working with uPVC window and door systems will be highly regarded.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
