Job summary

FinePoint Projects Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Glazier to join our Sydney team. You will perform specialised glazing tasks on complex construction projects, interpreting drawings and coordinating with trades.

Role requires advanced technical skill and precise installation of architectural glazing systems. This full-time permanent position offers a salary range of $80,000–$120,000 plus Superannuation, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least an AQF Certificate III/IV or equivalent.
• Experience on residential and/or commercial construction projects for at least 12 months.
• White Card (General Construction Induction) – mandatory in NSW.
• Valid driver’s licence – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural drawings, engineering drawings, glazing schedules, and specifications to determine glazing methods.
• Conduct detailed site measurements and assessments for dimensions and installation sequencing.
• Install and align glass panels, frames, channels, supports, seals and related components.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape and fit glass with high accuracy respecting tolerances.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, engineers, and trades for sequencing and integration.
• Maintain records of completed works, inspections and tolerances; assist with inspections and handover.

Job Description

FINE POINT PROJECTS PTY LTD We are seeking an experienced Glazier who will be responsible for specialised glazing and glass installation works associated with the company’s complex construction and architectural projects. The position requires advanced technical skills, extensive practical experience and the ability to undertake precision glazing works involving complex glass assemblies, architectural glazing systems and technically demanding installations. Benefits Salary: $80,000 to $120,000 plus Super depending on experience Task & responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural drawings, engineering drawings, glazing schedules, technical specifications and installation details to determine appropriate glazing methods and requirements.
• Conduct detailed site measurements and assessments to establish dimensions, tolerances, fixing requirements and installation sequencing before commencing specialised glazing works.
• Undertake precision installation of specialised glass products, glazing systems, framed and frameless assemblies, architectural glass features and other technically complex glazing components.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape and fit glass and associated materials with a high degree of accuracy, taking into account specified tolerances, dimensions, angles, joints and finishing requirements.
• Install and align glass panels, frames, channels, supports, brackets, seals, gaskets and associated components in accordance with approved drawings and manufacturer specifications.
• Undertake complex glazing works involving irregular, oversized, difficult-to-access or architecturally detailed installations where a high level of technical skill and practical experience is required.
• Apply appropriate glazing, sealing, fixing and finishing techniques to achieve structural integrity, weather resistance, functionality and the required architectural finish.
• Identify and resolve technical issues arising from site conditions, dimensional variations, structural interfaces, alignment issues and installation tolerances.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, site supervisors, engineers, builders, façade specialists and other trades to ensure specialised glazing works are appropriately sequenced and integrated with other construction activities.
• Maintain accurate records of completed works, inspections, measurements, rectification activities and relevant project documentation.
• Assist project teams with final inspections, defect rectification, handover and close-out of specialised glazing works.
• Perform other closely related specialist glazing duties necessary for the successful completion of the designated construction projects.

Qualification & experience Requirements:

• Must possess at least a relevant AQF Certificate III or IV or in lieu of formal qualifications, must have a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience
• Experience working on residential and/or commercial construction projects for at least 12 months
• White Card (General Construction Induction) – mandatory in NSW
• Valid driver’s licence (preferred)
