Job summary
Westernport Region Water Corporation seeks a skilled Data & GIS Support Officer to manage data, GIS and related systems for ongoing operations in Newhaven, VIC. The role focuses on maintaining data quality, supporting dashboards with Power BI/Tableau, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver reliable information across the business.
A Band 4 position with a salary of $70,414-$90,604 awaits the successful candidate.
Qualifications
- Qualified in GIS or related discipline with data analytics experience.
- Experience with data management, reporting and information management in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau; SQL and Excel; exposure to AutoCAD is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer corporate GIS, including spatial and asset information; provide maps and GIS products to stakeholders.
- Support data validation, cleansing, reconciliation and improvement activities and AMIS development.
- Assist business teams with data analysis, dashboards and data outputs to support decision-making.
- Develop and support GIS user training, guidance, materials and procedures.
- Support asset management activities including maintenance, renewal schedules.
