Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking an Assistant in Nursing for Ward 7 East – Geriatric Medicine on a permanent part-time basis. You will deliver patient-centred care under guidance of experienced clinical teams, primarily during night shifts.

This not-for-profit hospital offers a supportive environment and opportunities for professional growth. Salary offers AU$35.05–AU$38.38 per hour plus superannuation and access to salary packaging up to AU$18,550, with additional staff benefits.

Formación

• Holder of Certificate III in Individual Support or Health Services Assistance (Required).
• Ability to work majority evening and night shifts, with leave coverage options (Required).
• Experience with dementia and challenging behaviours (Desirable).
• Experience as Assistant in Nursing or Personal Care Assistant (Desirable).
• Flexibility to work in multiple wards and adapt to different teams.
• Commitment to nursing practice excellence and professional development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsabilidades

• Assist clinical teams to provide safe, patient-centred care under RN or EN supervision.
• Gather information on patient care needs through observation and notify senior staff promptly.
• Support with patient mobility, hygiene, and dietary needs within AIN scope.
• Undertake observations and assessments as directed by senior staff.
• Report concerns to Team Leader/RN to maintain a safe environment.
