Job summary

WML Consultants is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their Perth team, delivering large and technically demanding projects across Western Australia. You will lead a geotechnical design group, mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or Engineering Geology.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience in engineering geology associated with infrastructure projects.
• Post Grad, Masters or PhD in Geotechnical field (Highly Desirable).
• Chartered Status or be working towards.
• Experience in Investigation and design for Bridges, dams, pipelines, buildings, ports and infrastructure.
• Strong analysis and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing and mentoring the Perth office geotechnical section resources.
• Establish and leads project teams.
• Advance the geotechnical team with regards to technical capability in areas of their preference.
• Undertake complex and challenging geotechnical design and reporting.
• Mentor WML geotechnical staff.
• Direct geotechnical staff and review their work for compliance.
• Prepare contract documentation and manages the contract tendering process.
• Manage contracts and contractors to ensure that contracts are completed to approved scope, budget, time and quality.
