Job summary

SLR Consulting Australia Pty Ltd in Brendale is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our NATA Accredited Geotechnical Laboratory. You will work with a passionate, dedicated team providing services to essential construction materials, mining and infrastructure sectors.

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the role offers opportunities for technical growth, with responsibilities including sample preparation, materials testing, and collection of soils and construction material samples for

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Laboratory Operations (Certificate III and above).
3 years + professional experience in a lab-based role.
Knowledge in Australian and Main Roads Test Methods.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Excellent driving history and hold a current unrestricted manual driver's license.
Australia Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

Undertaking sample preparation to nominated test methods.
Undertaking materials testing with some supervision.
Sampling and collection of soils, aggregate and other construction material samples for preparation and analysis.
Assisting in the day-to-day functions of the laboratory.
Carrying out other duties as may be required from time to time to meet the changing business needs of the organisation and/or as instructed by the business.
