Job summary

C & T Geotechnical (Melbourne) Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated Field / Soil Technician to join our team in Melbourne's western and regional sites. This hands-on role covers soil inspection, sampling, compaction testing, and site classification across civil and construction projects.

You will work with site teams, project managers, and our office staff to ensure accurate testing, timely results, and reliable data.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in soil or field testing.
• Knowledge of Level 1 inspection and testing.
• Knowledge of AS1289 standards.
• Current White Card and a valid driver’s licence.
• Current Radiation License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Level 1 field inspections and testing.
• Carry out soil sampling and compaction testing.
• Site liaison with supervisors and project teams.
• Maintain testing equipment and vehicles.
• Work across Melbourne and surrounding regions.
• Communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
