Qualifications

• 1–2 years of field/site experience preferred.
• Experience operating machinery preferred.
• Interest or exposure to survey equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drilling and logging boreholes (mechanical & hand auger).
• Operating site machinery (ute-mounted auger, tube samplers).
• Collecting and logging soil samples to AS1726-2017 standards.

Business Development Manager at Geoid Engineering

At GEOID Engineering, we deliver high-quality geotechnical, surveying, and engineering solutions to the residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors across Victoria. Our growing client base includes developers, builders, government authorities, and consultants.

We are currently expanding and are looking for a Field Technician to join our dynamic team in Western Victoria. If you enjoy working outdoors, are hands-on with machinery and site work, and want to build a meaningful career with real growth opportunities — we want to hear from you!

Your Role Will Involve:

• Drilling and logging boreholes (mechanical & hand auger)
• Operating site machinery (ute-mounted auger, tube samplers)
• Collecting and logging soil samples to AS1726-2017 standards
• Assisting with feature surveys and report preparation
• Supporting our drafting, engineering, and NATA lab teams
• Coordinating your daily schedule independently
• Liaising with internal teams and occasionally with clients

What We’re Looking For:

• 1–2 years of field/site experience preferred (not essential)
• Valid driver's licence (essential)
• White Card (mandatory)
• Experience operating machinery (preferred)
• Interest or exposure to survey equipment (e.g., Leica)
• Self-motivated and comfortable working outdoors
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong mechanical aptitude
