Job summary

Catalyst Metals Ltd is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to support underground and open pit operations at Plutonic Gold Belt in Central Western Australia. You will work with the mining team to ensure safe, efficient production and contribute to ground control design and analysis.

This permanent FIFO role offers an 8:6 roster departing from Perth, with a company camp featuring gym, facilities and strong safety culture. WA regulatory knowledge and geotechnical software experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent).
• WA Driver's Licence (C class) is required.
• Relevant mining industry experience.
• Familiar with Deswik, Dips and Unwedge or equivalent geotechnical software.

Responsibilities

• Provide geotechnical support to underground and open pit operations.
• Contribute to mine design and scheduling from a geotechnical perspective.
• Design ground support and monitor performance.
• Conduct geotechnical evaluations, risk assessments and recommendations.
• Review GCMP and provide site ground control guidance.
• Support seismic data processing, analysis and reporting.
