Job summary

MK Drilling Contractors Pty Ltd – Coolum QLD is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Driller to support private, civil and government contracts on the Sunshine Coast. You will operate modern, well-maintained drilling rigs and contribute to safe, efficient project delivery.

The role requires HR truck licence, Cert 111 Drilling, ability to pass medical/drug screen, and willingness to work away occasionally. Local work predominates with some remote locations; above-award rates and a probationary

Qualifications

• Must hold HR truck licence and be able to operate drilling equipment safely.
• Cert 111 in Drilling and construction white card are required.
• Experience with auger, rotary mud/air and diamond core drilling is preferred.
• Willingness to travel/work away and pass medical/drug screening is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate geotechnical drilling rigs and support equipment to specification.
• Adhere to safety policies and site rules at all times.
• Maintain equipment and report defects promptly.
• Work with a small team on local projects with some remote work.
• Assist with project documentation and quality records as required.

MK Drilling is seeking an experienced Driller.

We are a local Sunshine Coast family owned geotechnical, and water bore drilling company operating throughout Australia located in Coolum Beach. Working on private, civil& government contracts.

Due to increased workloads and continued expansion, we are looking for a Geotechnical Driller to meet with our client demands.

You will be:

• Working on modern, extremely well-maintained rigs and support equipment.
• Above award rate and unique bonus system once probation period completed.
• Career progression is encouraged and national accreditation provided.

Applicants MUST live on Sunshine Coast; this is NOT a FIFO role.

To be considered for the role you MUST have.

• HR truck licence
• the ability to comply with company safety policies
• Work well in a young team environment
• Cert 111 Drilling
• Competent in Auger, Rotary Mud, Rotary Air, Diamond Coring ( NMLC, HQ3, PQ3)
• Be willing to work away (majority of work is local but will sometimes be required to work in remote areas)
• Construction white card
• Be able to pass medical/drug screen
• Good mechanical aptitude

Candidates that have the following will be more desired

• RIW Card
• Standard 11
• experience drilling production water bores

We are a geotechnical drilling contractor that occasionally conduct geotechnical drilling inside mine sites.

Majority of our work islocal based but some weekend work and working away will be required (project specific).
