Job summary

Department of Transport & Planning Victoria in Melbourne is seeking a Spatial Technology Officer on a fixed-term basis until 30 May 2027. The role designs and builds complex spatial technology solutions, supports ArcGIS Online/Server and Digital Twin Victoria, and provides technical advice and customer support.

Candidates should have strong GIS skills and experience with scripting, ETL, and data publication.

Qualifications

• Mandatory geospatial qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with FME, ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, ArcGIS Online/Server, Python, SQL, and AWS.
• Experience managing spatial data products and services, with skills in spatial analysis, ETL services and geoprocessing automation (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds complex spatial technology solutions.
• Provides technical advice and customer support.
• Publishes data through platforms such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server and Digital Twin Victoria.
• Develops and maintains scripts and programs; resolves issues; supports projects.
