Job summary

Calleo Australia is seeking a geospatial data engineer to design, build and maintain geospatial data pipelines and spatial databases, ensuring high data quality and reliable data access for stakeholders.

The role involves developing geospatial applications and analytics services using modern geospatial technologies, with strong collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining geospatial data pipelines.
• Experience acquiring, transforming and validating spatial datasets with high data quality.
• Experience developing geospatial applications, mapping services and analytics solutions using geospatial technologies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and business analysis skills for translating requirements into geospatial solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance, information management, security, privacy and data quality in geospatial contexts.

Job Overview

• Demonstrated experience in geospatial data engineering, including the design, development and maintenance of geospatial data pipelines, spatial databases and data integration solutions.


• Proven ability to acquire, transform, validate and manage spatial datasets, ensuring high standards of data quality, integrity and accessibility.


• Experience developing and supporting geospatial applications, mapping services and spatial analytics solutions using contemporary geospatial technologies and platforms.


• Strong stakeholder engagement and business analysis skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical, fit-for-purpose geospatial data and information solutions.


• Demonstrated knowledge of data governance, information management, security, privacy and data quality principles, and their application within geospatial environments.

Canberra

Due to the nature of this role, this job is open to Australian Citizens only. Candidates who currently hold or able to obtain Federal Government Security Clearances are highly desirable.
