Job summary
NSW State Emergency Service seeks a GIS specialist to design and deliver geospatial intelligence products, maps and dashboards to support NSW SES staff and volunteers in planning and operational response.
You will transform complex spatial information into actionable insights, perform advanced spatial analysis, and contribute to GIS platform administration within a collaborative, volunteer-driven agency.
Qualifications
- Hold tertiary qualifications/ and or experience in GIS/spatial information, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro and VertiGIS Studio.
- Experience in GIS administration: ArcGIS portal administration, database management and advanced spatial analysis (SQL Server, FME or Python).
- Understand GIS development lifecycle and apply best practices to support business and operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver GIS solutions, undertake complex spatial analysis, and develop maps, dashboards and data collection tools.
- Support administration of GIS data portals and flood data management services.
- Support Mapping Officer role in Operational response.
