Anglo American Steelmaking Coal is seeking an experienced Geoscience Coordinator to oversee geological and geotechnical activities in Queensland, Australia. The role focuses on coordinating fieldwork, data collection, analysis, and compliance with industry standards to support project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology/Geotechnical Engineering or related field; Master’s desirable.
• Experience in geological and/or fieldwork, data analysis, and project management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with geological/geotechnical regulations and compliance.
• Flexibility to work in different geological environments.
• Relevant professional registration desirable.
• Proficiency with MINEX and/or Vulcan or other geology/geotechnical software.
• Experience with Deswik, CAD, and data logging software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee geoscience fieldwork, data collection, and analysis.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource management plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.

• Lead and mentor a team of geologists, geotechnical engineers and technicians.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
