Job summary

Tradewind Australia is seeking a Generalist Solicitor to join the Far West NSW Community Legal Centre in Broken Hill. The role is full-time and fixed-term to June 2030, with a salary of $95,589 - $113,619 plus super and salary packaging.

You'll work across family law, court work, traffic and other generalist matters, providing advice, casework and outreach to remote communities. Travel is required within the region, and relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• Current NSW practising certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
• Around two years post-admission experience, or strong transferable skills.
• Experience across a range of matters, particularly family law, court work, traffic/criminal or generalist practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with vulnerable or disadvantaged clients.
• Ability to travel and work independently within a regional team.

Responsibilities

• Provide free legal advice, casework and representation across the Far West.
• Represent clients in courts and tribunals and participate in duty lawyer rosters.
• Travel to regional communities to provide outreach services and education.
• Develop relationships with local services and connect clients with support services.
