Mallee Family Care is seeking an experienced Generalist Solicitor to join their Community Legal Centre team, focusing on access to justice, social justice and human rights across the Far West NSW region.

The role requires a NSW practising certificate or eligibility, admission as a legal practitioner in Australia, and willingness to travel. Onsite work in Broken Hill is essential for face-to-face service delivery, outreach and education.

Qualifications

• Current NSW practising certificate or eligible to obtain same.
• Admission as legal practitioner in Australia with relevant experience.
• Two years post admission preferred; one year considered.
• Valid driver’s licence; willing to travel and stay overnight when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide generalist legal services to the Far West NSW community.
• Deliver on-site face-to-face service delivery in Broken Hill.
• Engage in community legal education and law reform activities.
• Coordinate outreach to Wilcannia, Menindee, Ivanhoe, and nearby areas.
