Job summary

DNA Healthcare Recruitment in Wollongong is assisting a busy skin surgery clinic to hire a Skin GP to join their team and manage an established patient base.

You’ll gain strong exposure to skin procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and advanced treatments, with a fully equipped clinic and six skin doctors on site.

Availability includes 1–2 days per week (Mondays or Wednesdays) on a permanent basis, with full Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• FRACGP or ACRRM (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience with skin checks and minor skin surgeries.
• Able to commit Mondays and/or Wednesdays on a permanent basis.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Conducting skin checks with full-body or focused examinations.
• Performing biopsies and minor skin cancer surgeries.
• Administering non-surgical treatments like cryotherapy, topical creams, or photodynamic therapy.
• Educating patients on sun protection and long-term skin health.
• Referring complex cases to specialists and monitoring borderline Moles.

Located in Wollongong we are currently working with a busy and well-established skin surgery that is seeking a Skin GP to join their team and manage their patient base.

Job Description:

• Conducting Skin Checks: Performing full-body or focused skin examinations using a handheld magnification tool to spot new, changing, or unusual lesions.
• Performing Biopsies & Surgeries: Taking tissue samples for biopsies and performing minor surgical excisions for skin cancers and suspicious moles.
• Non-Surgical Treatments: Administering treatments like cryotherapy (freezing lesions with liquid nitrogen), topical chemotherapy creams, or photodynamic therapy.
• Patient Education: Advising patients on sun protection, self-monitoring, and managing long-term skin health.
• Referrals & Monitoring: Photographing and monitoring borderline moles over time, or referring complex cases to specialist dermatologists or surgeons.

About the Role / Clinic:

• Average skin doctors bill at the clinic around $400 to $500 per hour depending on procedure work capability
• Skin cancer standard consult pricings start at $135 and increase depending on the length of the appointment
• Procedure prices vary based off competency / experience
• Large patient waitlist
• 6 experienced skin doctors on site
• 1 to 2 days a week available; Monday's and Wednesday's
