Job summary

Moree Hospital in New South Wales seeks a Fellowed GP with GP Obs to provide on-site, solo care when patients are present. The role supports ED and anaesthetics within a level 3 facility drawing on Tamworth for advanced care.

VMOs cover multiple specialties, offering flexibility and high-quality care in a rural setting. On-site self-contained one-bedroom apartments and stay options at the Albert Motel are available.

Qualifications

• Fellowed GP with GP Obs required and current AHPRA registration.
• Primary medical degree and fellowship CPD credentials expected.
• References and Medicare provider number may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide solo onsite care for patients when present in ED and related areas.
• Work within VMOs covering ED and Anaesthetics under hospital direction.
• Utilise on-site accommodation options during the block.

  Moree Hospital is a level 3 facility, with 35-60 ED presentations daily. The Emergency Department has 4 beds and an upright assessment chair, and you'll provide solo onsite care whenever patients are present. The hospital draws on Tamworth as its main referral centre for advanced care. You must be a Fellowed GP with GP Obs.

  Our VMOs cover a range of specialties, and many work across multiple clinical areas—for example, ED and Anaesthetics. Your expertise and flexibility will play a key role in providing high-quality care.

  Stay in our onsite self-contained one-bedroom apartments or enjoy a stay at the Albert Motel.
