Job summary

Narrabri Hospital is seeking a skilled GP Anaesthetics VMO to support a diverse clinical role within its 28-bed facility. You will perform essential emergency anaesthetics and general surgeries 2–3 days weekly, while also contributing to the Emergency Department and on-call roster, including weekends.

Accommodation is provided, with travel up to $800 reimbursed. SDPR training of 6–10 hours is required before starting shifts, and the locum is paid for this training time.

Qualifications

• NSW Health paperwork and training modules must be completed.
• Immunisations and vaccinations current.
• Current AHPRA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential emergency anaesthetics and general surgeries 2–3 days per week.
• Work in the Emergency Department and on-call roster, including weekends.
• Maintain on-call availability and participate in theatre duties as required.

Narrabri Hospital is searching for a skilled GP Anaesthetics VMO ready to make an impact in a diverse clinical role. Our 28-bed facility includes Obstetrics, a busy Emergency Department with 12-25 presentations per day, and a dedicated Operating Theatre. You’ll provide essential emergency anaesthetics and general surgeries 2-3 days per week. Your responsibilities will also include working in the Emergency Department and the on-call roster, especially on weekends as first on-call.
