Qualifications

• Full registration or conditional registration as a General Practitioner with the Australian Medical Council.
• Completion of vocational training in general practice or RACGP-recognized equivalent.
• Strong clinical knowledge across the full scope of general practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse patients.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and currency of medical knowledge.
• Current professional indemnity insurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations and provide evidence-based diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Manage acute presentations and chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular and respiratory conditions).
• Perform clinical examinations and diagnostic procedures appropriate to general practice.
• Prescribe medications and provide health education to patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records per professional and legal standards.
• Conduct preventive health screening and immunisation programs.
• Refer patients to specialists when clinically appropriate.
• Contribute to practice quality improvement and clinical governance.
• Engage in CPD and maintain RACGP registration.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, admin, and allied health professionals.

About the role

We are seeking a full time or part-time General Practitioner to join our established team at Elm Rd Medical Centre in Warriewood, NSW. Hours and session times are flexible and you will have an immediate established patient base with high appointment demand.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive practice environment with access to modern facilities and a collaborative team of healthcare professionals. Current part-time GPs are being paid up to 25,000 per fortnight. Full-time nursing support, Best Practice software, on-site parking, on site pathology and Allied Health, Bulk Billing Practice.

What you’ll be doing

Conducting comprehensive patient consultations and providing evidence-based diagnoses and treatment plans

Managing acute presentations and chronic disease conditions including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease and respiratory conditions

Performing clinical examinations and diagnostic procedures appropriate to general practice

Prescribing medications and providing appropriate health education to patients

Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with professional and legal standards

Conducting preventative health screening and immunisation programmes

Referring patients to specialists when clinically appropriate

Contributing to practice quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance

Participating in continuing professional development and maintaining registration with the Australian Medical Council

Working collaboratively with nursing staff, administrative personnel and allied health professionals.

What we’re looking for

Full registration or registration with conditions with the Australian Medical Council as a General Practitioner

Completion of vocational training in general practice or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)

Strong clinical knowledge and competence across the full scope of general practice

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
