Job summary

Regional Workforce Management on the Gold Coast is seeking General Meat Workers to join a wholesale butchery team in Molendinar. This casual ongoing role features an early 5am start, with a Monday to Friday roster of 8 hours per day on the Gold Coast.

You will work across production areas in cold and freezer environments, handling meat, and using bandsaws and knives while maintaining strict food safety, hygiene and quality standards. Prior industry experience is preferred; PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat processing or similar role preferred.
• Ability to commence at 5am shift.
• Reliable transport to facility.
• PPE provided; steel cap boots preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Break down, cut and trim various cuts of meat.
• Prepare meat per customer and production requirements.
• Portion, weigh, pack and label products.
• Work to meet daily production targets.
• Maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized.
• Use bandsaw, hand tools, knives and other machinery.

About the Role

We are looking for General Meat Workers to join our client in there Wholesale Butchery, based in Molendinar, Gold Coast. Working in a range of production area's within cold and freezer settings.

• Ongoing Casual employment with the possibility to extend
• Location: Molendinar, Gold Coast
• Roster: Monday to Friday, 8hrs daily, commencing at 5am
• Rate: Starting at Level 3 Meat Industry award:$33.25 hourly (Casual)

Roles and Responsibilities

Within this role you will be required to preform a range of general butchery tasks including but not limited to:

• Breaking down, cutting and trimming various cuts of meat
• Preparing meat according to customer and production requirements
• Portioning, weighing, packing and labelling products
• Working efficiently to meet daily production targets
• Maintaining high standards of product quality and presentation
• Following strict food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
• Keeping work areas, equipment and facilities clean and organised
• Use of Bandsaw, hand tools, knifes and other machinery

Additional Information

• Prior Experience within the industry or similar role desired
• Ability to commence at 5am shift start time
• Reliable transport to and from facility
• PPE provided, ability to provide own steal cap boots desired but not essential
