Job summary

G’day Group is seeking a General Manager – Tourism & Experiences to lead Discovery Parks Kununurra and Triple J Tours in the East Kimberley. Based in Kununurra, you will drive operations, teams and commercial performance across parks, tours, marina and hospitality to deliver outstanding visitor experiences.

You will harness regional tourism networks, manage budgets, and pursue growth opportunities while shaping strategy for a destination that attracts visitors from across Australia and beyond.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial acumen and business management skills.
• Experience working in a seasonal or regional tourism environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage across multiple operations and adapt to changing priorities.
• Genuine passion for showcasing destinations and experiences.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the combined operations and performance of Discovery Parks Kununurra and Triple J Tours.
• Lead and develop teams across accommodation, tours, marina and hospitality operations.
• Own budgets, forecasting, revenue, cost control and overall commercial performance.
• Identify opportunities to grow visitation, revenue and local partnerships.
• Build strong relationships with tourism operators, local businesses, suppliers and community groups.
• Ensure safety, compliance, presentation and service standards across parks and tours.
• Collaborate with the wider G’day Group to maximise regional opportunities.
• Adapt operations to seasonal demand and maintain business continuity.
