Job summary

nbn® Australia is seeking a General Manager, Secure Network Services to own the security, availability and resilience of critical services across a 24x7 environment. You will lead engineering, operations, security posture and lifecycle management while driving automation and modernisation to deliver enterprise value.

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a General Manager Secure Networks Services reporting to Executive General Manager Operations Resilience and Secure Technology.

A bit about your role

As the General Manager, Secure Network Services, you will be accountable for the security, availability and resilience outcomes of some of nbn's most critical operational and technology services.

Leading trusted connectivity, enterprise and data centre networking, perimeter services and security, cyber security platforms, data centre facilities and physical security services, you will ensure these capabilities remain secure, recoverable and fit for purpose in a complex 24x7 operational environment.

You will own the engineering, operations, security posture, cyber resilience, performance and lifecycle management of services that protect and enable nbn's national workforce, enterprise services and network operations. Through strong control ownership, operational discipline and service-oriented leadership, you will provide enterprise confidence that critical technology services are secure by design, resilient by default and able to support the organisation's evolving needs.

Balancing strategic planning with operational accountability, you will influence enterprise-wide decisions that reduce risk, improve service quality and strengthen resilience.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams and strategic partners to operate and modernise critical services and platforms, deliver secure and reliable service outcomes, and create measurable business value through automation, AI-enabled operations, service modernisation and continuous improvement.

A bit about you

You are an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience leading large-scale network, infrastructure, security or technology operational service portfolios within complex enterprise environments. You bring a strong track record of managing critical production services, network or security engineering, driving platform and cyber resilience and recovery outcomes, and navigating the challenges of highly regulated or critical infrastructure industries. Your ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders enables you to build confidence, align priorities and deliver outcomes that support both operational performance and strategic objectives.

You are a collaborative and trusted leader who brings people together to navigate complex challenges and achieve shared outcomes. With sound commercial judgement, a commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for developing others, you create environments where teams are empowered to contribute and succeed. Your experience leading technology transformation, governing outsourced services and strengthening enterprise controls positions you to drive meaningful outcomes that provide & protect critical assets, enhance cyber resilience and support nbn’s purpose of keeping Australia connected.
