Civic Disability Services is seeking an experienced General Manager Quality, Risk & Compliance to join its Executive Leadership Team in Sydney. This role leads the quality, governance, risk, safeguarding and WHS functions to support sustainable service delivery and drive continuous improvement.

Civic Disability Services is seeking an experienced and collaborative General Manager Quality, Risk & Compliance to join our Executive Leadership Team.

This is more than a governance and compliance role. We are looking for a leader who can build strong partnerships across the organisation, influence culture, and help teams embed quality, risk, safeguarding and WHS into everyday practice.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will lead Civic's quality, governance, risk, safeguarding, compliance and WHS functions while building strong relationships across the organisation to support sustainable and effective service delivery.

Success in this role will come through your ability to:

Lead Civic's quality, risk, compliance and safeguarding strategy.

Lead organisational WHS strategy and safety performance initiatives.

Provide expert and strategic advice to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board on governance, quality, risk, WHS and emerging sector challenges.

Maintain Civic’s enterprise risk management and business continuity frameworks.

Oversee audits, accreditation and compliance programs.

Drive continuous improvement through analysis of organisational performance, incidents, complaints, feedback and audit outcomes.

Partner closely with operational leaders to strengthen quality, safety and compliance outcomes and support them to proactively identify risks, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.

Build organisational capability and foster a culture where quality, safeguarding and risk management are viewed as enablers of great services rather than administrative requirements.

About You

You are an engaging and influential executive who understands that lasting organisational improvement is achieved through strong relationships, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.

You will bring:

Executive leadership experience within disability, community services, aged care or another highly regulated environment.

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Quality Management, Risk Management, Health, Human Services, Law or a related discipline.

Demonstrated experience leading quality, risk, governance or compliance functions.

Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation frameworks.

Experience engaging with Boards, Executive teams, regulators and auditors.

The ability to balance governance requirements with operational realities to deliver practical and sustainable outcomes.

A passion for improving outcomes for clients, employees and the organisation.

Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
