The role

Reporting to the senior executive team, you will:

• Lead the site leadership team and set the standard for safety and operational discipline
• Drive safe, reliable and cost-effective production against plan
• Own site budgets, cost performance and capital priorities
• Build a high-performance, accountable culture across the workforce
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, regulators and the local community

About you

• Proven senior leadership in open cut coal, ideally as General Manager, Site Senior Executive or Mine Manager. Strong operations leaders ready to step up will also be considered
• A visible, uncompromising commitment to safety and health
• Clear record of improving production, productivity and cost
• Relevant Queensland coal statutory qualifications
• The presence to lead people, influence stakeholders and make sound decisions under pressure
