Job summary

Contour Education seeks a General Manager, NSW to launch and grow our NSW campuses. You will own enrolments, revenue, and campus quality, leading Campus Leaders and building school and community partnerships. You report to the VP of Sales and work with national campus operations.

This role is designed to scale as the state grows and campuses multiply. You will shape NSW strategy, manage the local team and budget, and become the face of Contour in the state, delivering results in a high-trust

Qualifications

• Experience leading a multi-site team or region with site leaders reporting to you.
• Record of owning a sales, enrolment or growth target and hitting it.
• Experience building and leading a sales team that hits its number.
• Experience opening, launching or growing sites or markets from a small base.
• Experience managing a budget or P&L.

Responsibilities

• Lead the state: own the NSW plan, report enrolments, campuses and team results.
• Own market entry: turn marketing demand into enrolments in local catchments.
• Lead the campus team: hire and coach Campus Leaders, ensure safety and compliance.
• Build relationships with schools and community groups to drive enrolments.
• Build and lead a local sales team and operations aligned to state budget.

Lead Contour in a new state, and grow with it.

We open our first NSW campuses in Sydney in January 2027 , with more to follow. Sydney families know tutoring well, and many already use an established HSC provider. Your job is to launch our campuses to the standard families expect from day one, give them a clear reason to choose Contour, and build the team that takes NSW from two campuses to many.

As our General Manager, NSW , you’ll own how the state performs : enrolments and revenue, campus quality, and the local sales and campus teams. . You'll lead our Campus Leaders , build school and community partnerships , and be the face of Contour in the state . You'll report to our VP of Sales and work closely with our national campus operations team. This role is built to grow: as the state grows, so do your team, your budget and your scope.

Contour was founded in 2020 by students who saw that the quality of your education was basically a lottery. Teachers stretched thin by the system, learning materials that varied from school to school, and support that stopped the moment you left the classroom.

We've produced hundreds of 99+ ATARs, tutored the world-record UCAT scorer, and placed 850+ students into medical and dental schools across Australia.

• Contour Education academic performance in high school
• Contour MedPrep entry into medical and dental schools
• Contour TestPrep entry into selective and scholarship schools

What You Will Do

You'll carry NSW’s numbers personally, l ead the state, from first enquiry to a full, well-run campus.

• Lead the state: Own the state plan, report weekly on enrolments, campuses and team, and be the person accountable for results.
• Own market entry: Turn central Marketing’s demand into enrolments through local catchments, schools, community relationships and campuses. Carry the close yourself while the team is small.
• Lead the campus team: Lead, coach and hire Campus Leaders, and make sure every campus runs to our standard, from rostering and printing to safety and compliance.
• Schools and community: Build relationships with schools, careers advisers and community groups, and run workshops and parent evenings that lead to enrolments.
• Build the state team: Hire and lead a local sales team, Campus Leaders and the operations layer, ahead of enrolments and campus openings. The team’s number is your number, delivered within the state budget .

What You Will Bring

• Experience leading a multi-site team or region, with site leaders reporting to you.
• A record of owning a sales, enrolment or growth target and hitting it, with numbers you can point to.
• Experience building and leading a sales team that hit its number.
• Experience opening, launching or growing sites, a region or a market from a small base.

• Experience in a high-trust service sold to families, ideally education, tutoring, childcare, health or similar.
• Confidence presenting to parents, students and school leaders.
• Comfort with data: you read conversion, utilisation and cost numbers and act on them.
• Knowledge of the HSC and the local schools landscape, or the drive to learn it fast.
• Daily use of AI tools to work faster and smarter.
• Based in Sydney area, with full working rights in Australia.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays to meet operational requirements
