CTCG is seeking a General Manager to lead a profitable manufacturing business in Australia. You will report to the board and guide strategy, manage a $50m+ P&L, and drive performance through the executive team.

The role requires strong people leadership and market engagement to sustain growth. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in general management with P&L responsibility, a finance/marketing degree, and a track record in B2B industrial sectors.

Job description

Our client is seekinga GeneralManager to take responsibility for their manufacturing business that produces and markets products into the rural and construction industries. This is a new position reporting to the board of directors resulting from the current Managing Director's desire to step back from the day to day running of the business. The business generates revenue in excess of $50m, is highly profitable and continues to achieve strong growth. This role requires an experienced GM with a steady set of hands to guide a successful business into the future and to work with the executive team to continue the success.

Reporting to the MD your responsibilities consist of:

Managing a P&L in excess of $50m

Managing a white- and blue-collar workforce in excess of 60 FTE

Ensuring the safety of all employees

Ensuring that the company continues to deliver on its highly competitive market offer

Ensuring the efficient use of capital to provide targeted returns to shareholders

Developing and implementing business plans that drive the company's performance

Budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of KPIs and taking proactive action in areas of underperformance

Presenting results and plans to the board as required

Driving a culture of performance by engaging and encouraging employees to be the best they can be

Being visible in the market especially at key industry events and with major accounts

Establish relationships with key domestic and international suppliers

Key Capabilities and Experience consist of:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent time management and planning skills

Good computer skills and ability to use the Microsoft suite of products

A minimum five years in a management role with P&L responsibility

A track record of delivering strong results in B2B industrial based companies

A degree in the area of finance and marketing is preferrable

Commercially astute and highly ethical approach to doing business
