Job summary

Open Pantry Co. partners with Blue Gums Hotel, Fairview Park, to appoint a General Manager for a large-format pub venue with bistro, gaming and accommodation.

You will own day-to-day performance and lead the management team to strengthen culture and grow revenue. Reporting to the SA Operations Manager, you will oversee the 2IC, drive alignment across kitchen, retail and gaming, and implement a hands-on leadership style with a clear growth mindset.

General Manager — Blue Gums Hotel, Fairview Park

Open Pantry Co. is partnering with Blue Gums Hotel, Fairview Park to appoint their next General Manager, an experienced operator to lead one of the region's true large-format pub venues.

The venue

Blue Gums Hotel brings a great deal together under one roof: a bistro seating more than 150, an alfresco area for another 50, a 30+machine gaming room, a sports bar seating 70 to 80, a Thirsty Camel drive-thru, and seven accommodation rooms. It's a substantial, multi-faceted operation, run by a settled team of 30 to 35.

The role

Reporting to the SA Operations Manager, you will hold full accountability for the venue's day-to-day operation and performance. You will have a capable 2IC, you will oversee the bistro and you will lead an established management team across kitchen, retail, and gaming. Your priority will be to steady and strengthen a team already in good shape, build a positive and lasting culture, and drive the venue forward across each of its revenue streams.

This is a role for a proven large-format General Manager, a hands-on leader with genuine depth across gaming and food and beverage operations, and real skill in developing and retaining a team.
