Job summary

Protech are currently seeking experienced Asphalt Labourers and Plant Operators for ongoing road construction and asphalt paving projects across Cairns and surrounding areas. You will work with a skilled crew on civil infrastructure projects, operating plant where qualified and performing hands-on labouring tasks.

Applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence, White Card, and have civil construction or asphalt experience.

Responsibilities

• Asphalt paving and road construction activities.
• Operating rollers, skid steers and other plant where qualified.
• Assisting with paver operations.
• Spotting trucks, plant and equipment.
• Raking, shovelling and sweeping asphalt.
• Conducting pre-start inspections.
• Loading and unloading equipment and materials.
• Site housekeeping and clean-up.
• Following all site safety procedures and requirements.
• Supporting the crew to meet daily production targets.

Job description

Protech are currently seeking experienced Asphalt Labourers and Plant Operators for ongoing road construction and asphalt paving projects across Cairns and surrounding areas.

Working as part of a skilled paving crew, you’ll assist with the delivery of civil and road infrastructure projects, operating plant where required while also undertaking hands-on labouring duties. This role offers excellent earning potential through overtime and working away opportunities, with ongoing work available for reliable and safety-focused candidates.

Applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence, White Card, and have previous civil construction, roadworks, asphalt, or related industry experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Ongoing asphalt paving and civil infrastructure projects

• Day and night shift opportunities
• Working away from home may be required
• $40.26 per hour + penalties, overtime and allowances

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
